blogness schmogness

hello there. this is me blogging.

I think a lot of the tv shows I used to watch and have come back on now have lost their appeal for me. Prison Break is no longer exciting...I went to bed instead. I don't want to know any more about the life stories of the people in Lost-it's all getting rather annoyingly complicated and not much is happening. Somewhere inside me wants to strangle Meridith for taking so long to make up her mind (Grey's) but I couldn't be bothered feeling frustration. Still don't mind Desperate Housewives though. Heroes is ok. Lots of suspense (supposedly) but I feel ''meh" about it all. Maybe it's just general life boredom. Not that I don't have plenty to do. Maybe TAFE has numbed my brain. 'Tis likely. Excitement I want. For a split second I thought maybe some romance but I have no time and I don't really want it anyway. Not from a guy atleast, (or a girl :P), rather from Someone who won't disappoint...

Now I'm getting slightly distracted by Lost...
see ya 'round.

Profoundnesss...zif.

I think I intended this post to be reflective on society and such. Somehow I don't think it will end up that way.

Funny, I just noticed that I'm writing with correct punctuation/capitalisation etc. 'Tis the keyboarding class at TAFE! I thought I could type with correct fingering etc. and even though for the most part I can, I've discovered I have picked up some bad habits over the years. Probably because when I was teaching myself to type properly my hands weren't big enough to reach the correct keys so I used whichever finger could reach, instead. Fixing bad habits is hard, especially when you've been stuck in them for years.

I bought the song "Hey Now Now" by The Cloud Room on iTunes tonight. It's the song from the Pepsi ad. I like it. It's catchy.

That's all.

ps. If you don't know what 'zif' means, go watch Lano and Woodley. 'Game Show God' I think is the episode. Or just watch all of them 'cause they're all good :)

tafe and so on...

hmmm....somehow howie has the power to make me blog...

so much effort!
let's see...i started tafe last week...kinda boring. four different teachers who don't check what we've already done with the other teachers and instead teach us the same stuff over and over...ie. "this is how you move a program to the desktop" (like we didn't already know) "oh wait...the computer won't let you drap things from the start menu to the desktop...go here and enable dragging and dropping" *next class with same teacher* "this is how you move a program to the desktop...do it this way cause the computer won't let you drag it...we can't figure out why..." *giggles/rolling of eyes from entire class*
next... "now we're going to learn how to make a folder on the E drive" (mind numbing boredom) *next class, new teacher* "now we're going to learn how to make a folder on the E drive" (silent groans of disdain from class) *next class, new teacher* "now we're going to learn how to make a folder on the E drive" (half of class is staring into space having a silent aneurism, the others are whispering and laughing) *next class, new teacher* "have you already learnt how to make folders?" *everyone nods profusely* "ok, that's good...we're going to make a folder called (insert name here)...I'll just show you how to do it" *gunshots-entire class is on the floor in pools of their own blood, forced to suicide as the pain is so much less than death by boredom*

exaggerating? i think not! well maybe a bit...but only a teensy tiny amount. Don't worry we're all still alive...though the teachers are still asking us if we know how to make folders and copy programs to the desktop.
I'm hoping we'll move past what they teach in year 10 computing...

In OH&S on friday we got to go around the tafe to different areas and write down the hazards we could find...oh so many. apparently the canteen ceiling is falling off. the teacher said we should be grateful, cause if the tafe weren't falling apart we wouldn't have anything to fill in our sheets with. one group of girls who were assigned to the toilets went into the male ones and told us that they discovered that guys can't aim. hazard=slipping and breaking your head open.

making friends too. nice class. (except the felon...well actually he's still nice). I met a girl called Jemimah who goes to Howie and Jenny's church. yay. and she likes switchfoot. *what good taste she has* although she's into emo bands at the moment. *shock, horror* oh well...everyone's face is clawed. ha. so distracted just now by the cat clawing me for food. now she's giving me puppy dog eyes. i be off, mum be home.

ps. was walking to the car earlier this week and noticed that the bunny was grooming the pig. funny bunny.

well. went to shops today (had to get up so early...8.30? it's unheard of!) to meet..ha i wrote 'meat' first...friends are tasty *licks lips* to meet ashley and emma to hang out. and hang out we did. like dad's shirt, mum's slip and a pair of old undies you only wear at night cause they're grandma-sized and day usage would be simply...well embarassing...imagine that-a huge pair of unmentionables bunched up under you jeans and flowering out the top for everyone to see...talking about seeing cringe worthy things, we walked into jb and right in our faces...coin slot! none of us had to say anything...we all knew what the other two were thinking...ugh.

and in jb i looked (as i do everytime i go there) for switchfoot's new cd to see how it was doing...and i found none in the regular spot...but at the front of the shop there was a stand with "summer's hottest sounds" and it was there! yay. i wanted to ask whether i could have the sign from the stand (when they're done with it) cause there were pictures of all the cd's on them. don't have any switchfoot posters yet...must get on that. but emma said they might want to reuse it...turn it over and write "everything 10% off" on the back of it. hmm...somehow i think not. so i did my footsoldierly duty and put the sf cd's in the top-middle box on the stand cause it was being taken up with cds that were already below it and switchfoot is so much better :P than whatever band that was...U2? just kidding. i have no idea who it was...

emma bought a single of some sort. and we looked through the 99c cd's and told eachother what their favourite cds were...hehe i told emma she loved the avril lavigne cd and we enjoyed a laugh until ashley said 'what's wrong with avril lavigne?'...then we laughed harder. poor ashley, i think i laughed at her a bit today...she tripped over the carpet going into westfield...twice. then almost fell on emma on the escalator. if you're reading this...sorry! hehe. wifey.

and we ate lunch. and got drinks and sat upstairs in starbucks. and a lady called "ashley!" and we looked around and she was talking to her fashionably dressed toddler (who was rather cute) and had strayed. poor lady didn't get very far, her kid was rather slow and stopped for a while to look at the fountain from the walkway above. s'pose the lady could have picked her up if she wanted to.

we talked to teresa and renee who were sitting eating morning tea in the food court and asked what they were doing this year.
teresa: i can't wait till our 10 year reunion!
hehe. we walked past them later and ashley waved but there was a guy walking who she thinks thought he thought she was waving at him and looked at her and she glanced at him and he looked at her again. she was embarassed. we saw him again in dick smith and she was trying to make sure he didn't see her. so we walked quickly and probably rather suspiciously out of the store.

hm. going out tonight to see chris taylor/andrew hansen play "dead caeser" which will hopefully be good. byebye now!
