it arrived!!!

and i am one very happy camper :D
yes, that's right, switchfoot's new album arrived on my doorstep today.
i'm glad, but i was going to go out and buy a copy today, and now i've got it i can't :(
oh well, i suppose i could still get a copy. another one that is.
but i'm listening to it now. and it's good. but then anything that switchfoot will write/sing will be good. except maybe if they went into r&b/hip hop-i think i'd have to leave them there. but then, they'd probably make it work.

...and we're back!

i think i have put on a few kilos. food was good though :)
i'm not sure what to say...
lots of fun staff on the boat. we got sat at a table for 8 for dinner which we shared with another family who were fun. and our waiters were freddie and aida. freddie is from the philippines and aida from vanuatu. they were both lots of funs :) and our stewards were nice too.
we managed to give some of the people on the boat names...there were a lot of them...no spare rooms. i think 1,200 and something.
let's see...there was "the band" which consisted of 5 guys who were around 19-21 by my guess, who we saw on the first day and mum said they looked like a band, so that's what they were named. one of them had really thick, blonde hair that was kinda long and stuck out. i'm not sure what the others looked like...brown hair, big glasses...
then there was "curly-hair guy" who was around 15 or 16 that had masses of thick hair that he could barely see out of. there was his brother, "retro-guy", previously known as "curly-hair guy's brother" but got his own name when we saw him on the beach in ouvea wearing a bright coral pink shirt and weird blue patterned boardies.
i feel like i'm bobbing up and down...
there were so many more but i'm losing my memory...oh, there was also "macca-boy" who was a short, younger version of macca from home and away...and chris hemsworth, a rather tall guy who at first glance looked like kim, also from home and away, but due to the mother liking "dancing with the stars" he got the real name instead of the character.
and there was this really weird lady who on the first day, in the queue before we got on the boat was wearing a bikini with a see-through kaftan over it. and she wasn't thin. around 50 years old too. she sat at the table behind us at dinner and she had a baby who must have been suffering from neglect cause she barely paid any attention to it, so it would cry all the time. cute baby though. and then she would let it out of it's high-chair and it would wander the dining room getting in the way of the waiters and the daughter of the lady who was sitting with her, (who was only about 8) would have to go retrieve it. weird lady.

i think i should go unpack.
i'm excited about the new switchfoot album, "oh, gravity". i have a counter on my myspace which i should probably get rid of cause it came out yesterday! i want to go up to hornsby and pick me up a copy, though i've got one coming from america in the mail...who knows when it will get here though. i ordered it online cause it comes with a free 3-song cd with stuff that hasn't been released. being the switchfoot fan i am i had to get it. but impatience is getting to me seeing as i've been waiting since before finishing school for it to come out. i think from around september...or whenever they announced it. may have been before that. i can just give away the other cd when i get it. hmmm.
i got to go.
adios!

guess what!

i played bingo tonight! even though i'm not 18...ree and katie got me a booklet and i won the last game :) hehe. 15 coles dollars and 15 rsl dollars.
then we went down sydney rd to look at the lights...so pretty!
and then we went to coles for a snack cause ree and katie needed flour for their scones they are now making.
they picked me up from work...i wasn't thrilled with having to work tonight but it turned out to be lots of fun :) when i got there it was just me and the manager, marty, then a few drivers came in and out and another instore showed up later on. the lack of stacks of staff meant i got to learn how to sauce :) fun fun fun. and marty let me use the till. yay. responsibility. i hope my next shift is on a weeknight. and 'cause ree was picking me up late and mum and dad went out for dinner i got a pizza for tea.
and this morning me and ree and dad went to hornsby to centrelink to tell them we're leaving the country on the cruise...then we went to the shops and i got dad a christmas present and he got me one.
all in all a good day.
i think tomorrow will be a bit of a let down...

I'm baaaack!

not that i was away for long!
but it was good!
and really beautiful!
the place we stayed in in minnamurra was like a townhousey thing and it was nice :) the view was excellent too!
there was a lakey thing that at low tide had a huge sandbank in the middle and you could walk across to it. then after swimming across the river there was a little stretch of sand and then the beach on the other side which had interesting surf where the waves criss-crossed. that made it fun!
i wish i had taken a camera, it was so pretty!
today we swam across the river which was rather cold, and then went into the surf. the wind was something terrible though. so we lay down on our towels facing the river where the wind wasn't so bad. i got a bit burnt :( but not too much. twas lots of fun though :) on the way down we stopped at a servo that had a fruit shop across the road and we got a box of 22 mangos for $15 :) needless to say the weekend involved a lot of mango eating...yum yum yum :)
and at the lolly shop in kiama i found a "mazing" m&m's chocolate bar...hehehe yum yum yum.
and at a dress shop in kiama i got me a really pretty blue dress with black lace over the top and mesh over the skirt...i couldn't resist, it was so beautiful! i shall photo it and post.

and next sunday is the cruise! fun fun fun! can't wait...

and so the baby suffocated...

had i actually sat on it it probably would have, so you'll be glad to know i didn't.
yes. i babysat. and all who participated survived. joy. although it was rather hard trying to get the 9-year-old boy to have a bath. but with the help of his sister we managed. thank goodness she was there. and i got to read him a bed-time story (the crowd goes 'awwww') but this is not a pantomime. the book was the shrek 2 storybook if you were sitting on the edge of your seats wondering...oh the suspense :S
and then i read on the couch for a few hours until the mum came home.
the highlight (or highlights) i'd have to say, would be the 3 cats that they own. so cute! one was a siamese called murphy who was very vocal and wouldn't shut up. but he was very affectionate too. the other two were twins, of that breed that looks like it had a door slammed on it's face. rather ugly, but cute at the same time. there was one with long hair and one with short hair. their names were fluffy and fatty, no prizes guessing which one's which.

so i ended up going to sleep around 1-ish, after reading for a bit in bed. and i got up around 2 this afternoon. i think it was the heat that got me up. now i have to find something to do for the rest of the day. poo.

i get to babysit tonight. cause liz has to go to her prize-giving thing and needed someone to cover for her. should be interesting, i've never babysat before. not that they're babies, one is 9 and the other 13. hopefully i won't get it too bad. i've decided i'm not a kid person, unless they're my relatives or i've known them for ages. babies don't seem to like me either. gah. hopefully it will be different if i have my own.

in other news, i just realised i've past 100 posts. this is 104. yay. i'd like to thank...

that's all.

good morning

or should i say, 'afternoon'. i woke up at 3pm today after going to sleep at around midnight...i think i may have caught up on schoolies lack of sleep.
i went to work on saturday and sunday night at dominoes...saw a few people who i knew and some who knew me...those being some of ben's friends...that breed tends to be rather annoying.
time seems to go quickly at work which is nice, and i still enjoy it which is even better! not that i've been doing it long...yesterday was only my 3rd proper shift...soon i think i'll get to learn how to sauce and do toppings on the pizzas, provided it's not that busy.
i was going to work this friday and saturday except that i'm going away to minnamurra with some of the older girls from the children's prayer network because they go every year for a holiday kinda thing and i got invited this year cause i started going to the thursday group after the tueday one stopped happening. so cheree is covering my shifts. i had to ring up steve (the manager) to ask if that was ok. he was fine with it thankfully, although now i feel bad cause i wanted to work and i won't be doing much cause from the 17th my fam is going away so i'm kinda a non-existent employee until about the new year... so i told him if he needs me i'm available...got nothing better to do...i'm rather bored! what should i be doing??? someone tell me! anyone got anything they want me to do? gah. and the speakers are buzzing like a dying fly.
and mum came home.
byeeee.

sooo....

it's been a while since i blogged! let's see what's happened...

well there was the formal.
personally i don't see how it could take a whole day to get ready for it but hey, whatever floats your boat.
so i started getting ready around 1ish although that was between watching tv and other stuffs...
ree came home after tafe at around 3 and took me to emma's pre's in which she proceeded to take about 45 photos on the digital...to see them i've made a formal slide show on my myspace. that's www.myspace.com/leesie_loo if you weren't sure.
pre's were fun although really really really hot!
and formal was lots of fun too. curzon hall is really pretty. looks like a castle and the gardens are really nice too. inside was especially good seeing as we got aircon! and champagne...or atleast that's what the waiters (waiters?) were trying to convince us it was...but we weren't fooled :) still, maison tastes nice.
then there was the table problem...but we managed to sort it out...poor juicy and sam stuck on the table with scary peoples!

didn't feel much like dancing when they put the music on...not a very good choice in it...sitting on the table under the speakers going thump thump thump can cause one pain in long periods of time...
lots of people seemed to leave early...
afters were fun too...don't play cheat with louise...
i think i ate too much though.
going through formal photos was mega funs and we enjoyed laughing at the funny shots of eachother...oh the joys.

got home kinda late the next day...then i had to go to work. that was ok too. going again tomorrow and sunday (even though i'm not technically available on sundays!) hopefully i can remember what i'm supposed to do.

then came schoolies on friday! me, lou and dan carred together up to stockton tourist park :) and em picked up juicy and kara from kariong on the way, and ash came that night...it was funny how many people, after hearing we were on schoolies, laughed or questioned our choice of stocko. but we had fun!
highlights would definitely have to include glowsticks on the beach...esp. breaking them and splashing everywhere...though not when lou does it cause she got it all over me :( meh.
and the *ahem* fire on the beach...and getting freaked out when those trucks came towards us!
and throwing sparklers cause they looked like comets falling to the ground...
and our frequent trips to go-lo in newcastle...it's the bestest store! and my addiction to 'funtime's...yum yum. and those icky go-lo marshmallows...
and dan's pronunciation of melancholy! more like melang-caly. hehehehe...endless entertainment.
and the exhibitions at the museum and the art gallery were really good...esp the warped pencil blob thing this guy had made...twas coloured pencils stuck together and shaped into a blob thing...had an interesting name too but i can't remember it.

ahh...tis good to be home although we did have lots of fun...
so didn't feel like a week though...and we didn't get sick of eachother or have any major tiffs! or not that i know of anyways...
anywho...getting tired and i gotta get up for work at 5.30 (pm) tomorrow :P
talk laters my friendy pies!
