songs, switchfoot and lack of motivation

so....school is back and i am avoiding work...
have a whole french book to do...and i have to start drawing textiles stuff! had a go today...turned out to be an alright pic exept it missed the point cause the costume wasn't represented well...it was a pirate fighting while wrapped around a pole, clinging on...couldn't see much of his clothes though...
and i need to start writing for ext 2!!! agh!!!
and mum and dad leave for council tomorrow...at night. and me and ree and ben are driving them out to the airport. it's at brisbane this time.
and i have 2 frees tomorrow and i can't decide whether to go to school or not. if i do more work will get done. and maybe not many people will be there so i will actually get something done :)

switchfoot are so good :) going up on the favourite band status...they only have relient k as competition though. but i liked relient k first...and whenever they have an album out i love them again (not that i don't love them now :) but i just bought "the early years" switchfoot's first 3 cds in a set and so i am listening a lot to them. even the first album is great. they all are. next time they are here i am going!!! i have a few favs so far...but there are too many to name...but i will try anyways.
from their first album, "the legend of chin" there is (opens itunes) Bomb, Chem 6A, You, Ode to Chin, Don't Be There...and the rest rock as well.
From the 2nd album... "New Way to be Human"...Company Car is so cool. i love it. as well as Something More...such a catchy tune. it's about st augustine. thank you switchfoot for introducing him to me. pretty popular guy. and Only Hope is really good. it was on A Walk to Remember. i think mandy moore sung it. but they do it better. and "I Turn Everything Over" is good too. catchy and fun :) and good lyrics too. and on "Learning to Breathe" *pant pant* You Already Take me There is good. as well as the title track, but i already downloaded that from the itunes music store so im not so into it at the moment with such a variety to chose from. and everyone knows Dare You to Move. that's ok. and Love is the Movement is interesting. that's all i can say about it...something in the mass of people singing and the style. Poparazzi is funny and oh so true. and i have decided i really like the next two...Innocence Again and Playing for Keeps. they have good lyrics and catchy tunes and are just plain good. The next thing to do will be to learn them on the guitar. the last four on that album are growing on me but haven't taken me over yet. but listening to one now it's alright. i think i have to read the lyrics again. so that be it for the early years. but as i said before they are all good songs and i highly recommend switchfoot. awesome band :):):):):):):) snaps for the great music to them :) you rock my world...hehe. na. that's a little drastic. but somehow the line in Chem 6A "I don't want to study now/It's all wrong but it's alright" feels so relevent hehe. stupid hsc. it should be abolished. snaps to krista's thingy she wrote on it. if you don't know what i'm talking about i can't explain. get her to.

so millie..you done anymore on textiles?? i have ideas but i can't draw so it's really not helping me. and i'm afraid of putting pencil to paper and finding out what it looks like. i need a good pic of the side view of a pirate ship...might go to library and find one.
have been doing maths today..yuk. finished chapter 1. go me! wasn't much left to do. one and a half exercises. but it took me so long! feels like such an achievement...and then i see i have almost all of chapter 2 to do...double yuk!!
had yeli's goodbye party yesterday :( tis sad. she is going to canberra! not that far away...but she won't be at lighthouse anymore and that makes me sad...:'(
that is if tuesdays are on at all...meh.
so back to breakfast and maths and shopping with louise tonight! yay.

suspense

well i have been avoiding blogging...and so much has happened that i can't remember since my last blog!
agh!
well...the implied is that i have been avoiding school work...
no biggie there.
meh. i did a bit for ext 2...but i think i need to print off all my research and stick it into my non-existent book before i proceed to write anything that ressembles a story.
and i need to do textiles! i borrowed some books from the library to help me out there...but i need to regroup with that before i go further. i can't really remember what i am doing. meh.
and to top it off i am going in a sec to buy an even greater distraction. but i will leave you in suspence on that item. muahahaha.
it's hard to write while listening to/singing a song...darn itunes. :) i downloaded 2 songs yesterday. one was Sanctus Real (Everything About You) and the other a switchfoot one that isn't on any of their albums.
i ordered the first 3 switchfoot albums off amazon...they come in a set. and as you may have guessed from my screen name i got a book from amazon (or rather Joy's Books) that was a relient k book. called "The Complex Infrastructure Known as the Female Mind". interesting book. and mary i don't know what your talking about.

the week passed

agh!
i haven't blogged in almost a week! it has become one of those things, like schoolwork, that i have been very good at avoiding. starting next week i will do work. agh!
my cousin laura came this week and stayed from monday to friday. we had fun :)
on monday night i went out with family and louise to a restaurant for my birthday. ghengis khan mongolian bbq. so yum :)
and then on tuesday...i can't remember. best consult the schedule. and yes, i did have one...sad i know, but it's holidays and i would have forgotten otherwise....ah yes, that's right. I drove laura and me out to koorong to get her the other half of her christmas pressie...a relient k cd. :) and i got some good devos too. then we had subway and gloria jeans for lunch :) and headed off home. That night was free and rather boring. i think. my memory isn't that good. and then on wednesday me and laura and liz and ree and ben went to ryde aquatic centre....AAAAGHHH!!!! i didn't hear my alarm! i am missing this thing on the sahara on the abc which i was going to use for my research for ext 2!!!!!!! soooooooooooo ANNOYED! stupid lovely new watch! AAGH!

that's right. the aquatic centre. it was busy. and the waves were interesting.
and then me and laura had movie night. we watched holes, first wives club, sisterhood of the travelling pants and the perfect catch. they were ok.
and then on thursday we dyed laura's hair a semi-permanent black colour that came out of the can bright purple.
and then at night we went to zi-teresa pizza place thing in hornsby. it was good. food good. service good. no aircon but it wasn't too hot. we went shopping a bit before that.
we stayed for a while and had a half chicken, half prawn, cabanossi, ham and pineapple pizza and some pasta. we couldn't decide so the man made us one that was really good. he asked if we liked red or white sauce and laura said both so he made us a special "pink" sauce :)
and we had garlic bread and then gelatos for dessert. i had lemon, laura had passion fruit. yum :)
it was good!
we talked for a while after and then went home.
laura left yesterday :(
and i am alone :(
but it is ok :)
more time to do work :(

helloooo....today was boring!
i lounged...after church that is...but there was barely anyone there....
i drove myself to work yesterday :) and got off 40 mins early cause i wanted to get home...my shift finished at 9.35 so i wanted to go home.
and i drove to the shops today to get some eggs and cassette tapes to tape my cds on so i can listen to them in the car...yay!
and now i'm listening to relient k's new ep that i got for my b'day. it is called "Apathetic" and i like it! the song i'm listening to is called "In Like a Lion (Always Winter)" which inspired by the Narnia movie...such a good song...i rate it 100 out of 10!
this Dune show is on tele...i am taping it for my "research" for my ext 2 story.
this snake just buried itself in the sand to escape a sand storm...quite funny :)
I have been looking for pics of fruit for my shoes when i get around to painting them.
I found 2 pics in 'my pictures' that i did on paint of the image i got in my head from a relient k and a switchfoot song.
i think i will post them.
i bought a book on amazon today too... by relient k called "the complex infrastructure known as the female mind" (it is the last line of their song "mood rings")
it looks interesting...won't be here for a few weeks though which is annoying!
i can't wait!

Laura comes tomorrow!!!! yay!!! i can't wait!!!! I am going to drive us to koorong because i gave her a voucher (which i made on the computer) for a relient k cd of her choice for christmas. and we are going out for dinner for my b'day maybe monday night, maybe tuesday.
yay...excitement. the only thing nagging me at the back of my mind though is the days ticking away and the denial i am in about all the work i have to do...meh.

i hope mrs youdale replies to me...i sent her an email at the beginning of the holidays about my story and she hasn't replied so i'm not sure if she got it!!!!

meh meh meh meh meh meh...sounds of resignation and frustration. it's funny how sounds work so much better than words :) especially for frustration and anger. and pain and excitement. and every other emotion besides the one that says "i feel like saying something smart" except then frustration comes when you realise you are to dumb to do so. ha.
we want more than the wars of our fathers. and everything inside screams for second life...that attept failed. i was trying to write as fast as the words on the music were said. but i stuffed it on "our" and wrote something and then out...you can see how bored i am. it is too late to start anything and i really don't feel like reading emma.
meh meh and more meh. my shoulder is in pain from sitting at the computer too much today. i should get out more...on the upside my typing is getting quicker. that isn't really good for all the side effects this will have.

crazy driver on the road

i passed my p's test!!!!!

so nervous about it though...yesterday and today and ugh...but it was ok once i was in the car.
the roads in toukley are sooooo wide! with no lines down the middle on some of them. that sucked. one of the things i did wrong was not going to the middle of the road when turning right...but the roads were so wide! i'm not used to it :( but i blinked heaps and heaps and my reverse park was good i think.

yesterday was my 17th birthday! that be fun. went to see "fun with dick and jane" with ashley and emma and louise and juicy and kara. and we had lunch tooo. the movie was ok...and after that we walked around a lot and i got a black collared shirt from ses for 12.95 which was good, esp cause i wanted one like it :) and juicy got a $39 skirt for 14.95 cause everything in the store was that much unless it said it was less.
then me and juicy walked to the rta to get the "guide to DART" book. and the guy that served us looked like einstein...and he was really cute! and sweet! and didn't make me pay for it.

after my test today me and mum went back to her work so i could help her with some stapling cause she had heaps left to do and she has to have the kit thing out by monday. poor mum is really stressed :( she will probably be behind the whole year because the boss man (king coffey) actually called eddie...had more important stuff to do at the end of last year than help mum and so they didn't get this kit out which means she has to do it now. that probably makes no sense but you know....

watched anchor man last night...i never saw the end of it...so we watched it so i could...it is funny in that stupid way.

so that is the birthday/p's test report.

ooo and north and south day thingy was fun...attendance roll: kara, ashley, louise, emma and me.
after kara left and louise walked home me and ashley and emma played speed and the french game (strip jack naked, beat your neighbours, black b*tch or what you will...) and because it involves snap and i kept winning and then emma got out, ashley resorted to cheating and the me and emma did tooo...i think emma's finger was smashed in the middle of it by ashley's hand....hehehe.
so that is it.

yesterday....

i forgot that I didn't blog yesterday, so here's what i did...
me and louise saw "just like heaven" and i thought it was really good!
then we shopped a bit and i bought her a christmas pressie from diva where i used my old voucher from last birthday that expires tomorrow...
then we went to city beach and i got a pair of billabong denim 3/4's for only $19 :) that was a good find....snaps to louise for finding a size 10...the size 8 that i found was just a little too small....hehe.
and then we went to tree of life and louise got me a christmas pressie and i got her another part of her pressie...it is cute.
and then we talked some and lori said hi....she had just bought her material for textiles.
have you bought your material yet millie? i need to buy mine...but i don't know what my thing looks like yet or the sort of material that i should buy....so i will have to get it when i know...probably go into the city...
so that was yesterday. after i got home was when mum took me driving...

hello again.
today was a bit boring. though I'm proud of myself cause i started with textiles. done most of the design inspiration. and I was looking into colours that have meanings that i could use and now i have some ideas for what my thing could look like, but i don't know about fabric decoration cause i can't find anything online about it in the time of the late 17th +18th century. meh. i know there are books but i can't be bothered.

tomorrow is north and south day...yay!
and the next day is my birthday...yay!
and the day after is my driving test...not so yay!

mum took me out yesterday to practice my reverse parks...or i took her out rather. i think i can do them alright now, and hopefully in the test i will be ok as well.
I'm scared!!! and i don't know if it will be ok getting there, seeing as it's in toukley and with the fires and stuff....and isn't the pacific highway closed? i will find out...hopefully everything will be alright by friday to go...
mum is due home...though she finished at 5....probably stayed back cause she has a lot of work to do...i wonder when dinner will be? i only ate breakfast an hour ago...hi louise! if you read this b4 i talk to you, juicy said she can't come on the comment from the last post. but she may be able to come for my b'day.

i can't wait til next week cause laura is coming to stay from monday to friday...i hope i will still get work done...hehe...we have fun plannies...
i just remembered though....hmmm.....that's the 9th to the 13th so it's all good...doesn't clash.

new year's

happy new year everyone!!!!

mine was...interesting.
went to the city with yeli. we went to waverton to see danielle (shultz) and she was with some uni friends. they had a seat on a nice grassy spot but the view of the bridge wasn't that good and after a walk me and yeli decided to try going into the city to see if we could get a spot closer in. so we went to milson's point and there were lots of spots on the grass but it was under the bridge...so we went to circular quay. the train on the way there was COMPLETELY packed!!!!!! i didn't think i'd fit but yeli was already on the train and this lady pulled me on. so i was facing the pole and breathing in to fit. luckily it was only one station away.
we went on the side of the opera house and went through some barriers where it was no glass or byo alcohol. then we went through another one to the opera house forecourt where it was no alcohol. we managed to fit in and sat in a little spot to have dinner...by that time andrew had come. (when we past north sydney station i mentioned to yeli that it was andrew's station cause he gets off there for school and she remembered his mum telling her that he might be going to the city so she rung and he finally decided to come cause he bought a really expensive camera and he could try it out) so it was the three of us waiting for the fireworks. then nine o'clock finally came and went and some people left so we took the opportunity to get a better spot and got a bit closer.
and it was about 2.5 hours to go until the fireworks...meh...we managed to kill time.
the fireworks were good, i liked the heart ones at the beginning, they were cute :)
it was hard getting back home...we walked to circular quay station and got into a huge crowd trying to get into the station...got separated from yeli and andrew for a bit... got back though. managed to get on the train and get a seat...and yeli was scared that there would be a ticket guard on lindfield station cause she didn't have a return ticket. but there wasn't.
when we got off and went up the stairs we saw maddy! she was back from vietnam. she looked nice.
bed was so good. today was so hot. ugh. slept til one twenty, had a 40 minute shower, watched tv with the fan. boring and way too hot. now i am talking to louise on the phone. hi louise!!!

going to see just like heaven tomorrow with louise.
now i will say goodbye. how was all your new year's eves?
